Daily Record Razz Cover
Created using Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and
Photoshop. Used the sillouette of Edinburgh along
with some vector artwork to compliment the
montage of actors and comedians appearing
at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Daily Record Razz Cover
Created using Adobe Indesign and Photoshop.
Coloured up a bland mono pic and added
NYC vector artwork and a nifty photoshop
distressed frame to spice up this cover
to coincide with the theme of the interview.
Morags Manoeuvres website
Website created in Wordpress. Artwork done in Photoshop
and photographs taken with a Nikon DSLR camera.
Developed from initial concept of business cards
and flyers; designed and produced for Morag to
initally promote her new business venture.
Your Story in a Book Website
Website created in Dreamweaver.
The YSIAB website is used to
promote the personal storybooks which
we design for clients. Taken from initial
concept through to fully functional website, to
produce memorable, hard back, coffee table books.
Colin Montgomerie Event Programme
This was the programme cover for
the Colin Montgomerie charity event. It was
designed in Photoshop and Quark. Also
involved in this project was the design of flyers,
invites, newspaper and magazine adverts;
event banners and stage visuals.
Can't stop the music book
One of the books published from the YSIAB
website. This is the gatefold cover. Designed with
Indesign and Photoshop and output by Blurb. As each
book is unique, we opted to use our own Indesign
templates and incorporate their specifications to
produce the book from scratch.
Daily Record Razz Cover
Something a little bit different was
required for this cover of the Rockness
festival. It was designed using Adobe
Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
Daily Record feature spread
Working on a Daily Newspaper means things
have to get turned around quickly. This montage
spread for the Daily Record newspaper was drawn
using Indesign. Photoshop was used to get the snow
effect on the headline and also to create the winter
scene for a subtle background.
Endless Love book Cover
This was the front cover of one of
the many books that we've produced. It’s the
story of the author’s love for St Mirren FC and the
nostalgic look back on the ground as the club prepared
to move to a new stadium. Cover was done in
Photoshop and Illustrator and the 400 text pages
supplied via PDF to the printer using QuarkXpress.
Daily Record feature spread
This feature spread for the Daily Record
newspaper was done in Indesign, Photoshop and
Illustrator. Initially had a flat vector map of Scotland
which was brought into Photoshop with some layer
effects and pattern overlays to give it some definition. The sea
effect was achieved in Indesign using gradients and outerglows.
Daily Record feature spread
Using Photoshop to replicate the Twilight logo style
with Utopia font. Some lighting effects and
gradients were utilised to get the full effect and it
was finished off by using layer masks to remove
some of the lines drawn on the headline.
Great Scot Event Programme
Theme for the Great Scot Event. This was one
of the promotional posters for the event, which was
A1 size. Also designed newspaper and magazine
adverts, flyers, invites, event programme
and all stage banners and visuals.
Young Scot Event Programme
This was the programme cover, the remit
was to come up with something fresh and grungy.
Photshop was used to create the background and by adding
a fifth channel, a spot colour was incorporated to the CMYK
job. The printed job had a striking foiled pink effect.
Also designed flyers, invites, banners and visuals for the event.
Daily Record feature spread
This montage spread for the Daily Record
newspaper was draw using Indesign and the
headline artwork was achieved using Photoshop. A
metallic effect and some bevelling worked well
to give it a Terminator style.
PLC Event Programme
The event programme of the PLC Awards. My
remit was to come up with a fresh
and new theme using the existing logo. I used
Photoshop to create the artwork and utilised a
5th channel to give the finished product a silver foiled finish.
